Counseling Services

The first point of contact regarding all your questions about your studies are the Student Advisory Services (ZSB) at KIT. There you not only get support in organizing your studies, but also when you face doubts or crises during your studies—when uncertainties, a sense of being overwhelmed, or motivational issues are troubling you. The well-trained advisors always listen to you, and provide you with confidential, neutral and open-minded advice, and support you in developing and finding suitable solutions. And even if your matter might be handled better elsewhere, you will find the right point of contact together, and you will be referred to the appropriate place.

Another good place of contact is your students’ council. But also, the dean of studies of you KIT Department or your degree program can be contacted to get help.

You can Contact the Kummerkasten or suggestion box via kummerkasten∂stab.kit.edu with all your questions and problems. You can find more information on the Website.

Studies and everyday life overwhelm you right now? You are not alone! If you don’t know how you can keep going, the Psychological Help (PBS) of the Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe can help you.

If you need someone to talk to, the Telefonseelsorge (telephone counselling) is there for you, as well as you can speak with Nightline Karlsruhe anonymously and confidentially.

If you feel like just simply talking to other people about your issues, you maybe can find a group at the Selbsthilfe Karlsruhe (Self-Help Office).

If everything becomes absolutely overwhelming and you — or those around you — are worried that something might happen to you, the outpatient psychotherapy clinic at Karlsruhe Hospital is there for you.
